Mike Lencioni-CEO
Mike started in the window covering business as a teenager working with his father in 1975. After graduating high school in 1977 he went to work for JC Penney’s as a window covering installer. After leaving JC Penney he obtained his contractors license and worked as an installer for multiple companies around the bay area specializing in Shutter installation and installing large commercial projects throughout the bay area and Sacramento area.
In 1994 Mike opened his own business, MLI Shutters, out of his garage in his home. Through hard work and a reputation for honest business practices he was able to grow the company to the point where he needed a commercial space to accommodate the companies workload.
In 2013 he partnered with Gary Crannell and changed the name of the Company to Elite Shutters and Shadings to better reflect the company’s reputation and expertise. Now Elite Shutters and Shadings is one of the largest independently owned window covering companies in Northern California with its three locations in Manteca, Livermore and Elk Grove.
Gary Crannell- Operations
Gary joined the Elite team in 2010. Gary has over 50 years experience in the window covering industry with expertise in all sectors of the business with an emphasis on Home Builder option offerings. Gary has an extremely broad knowledge of all types of window coverings from custom draperies to commercial roller shades.

Janice Tracy-Design Consultant
A Bay Area native, Janice joined Elite in 2014. She began her design career in 1999 and has had the opportunity to work for well-known commercial and residential design firms [ AAi and Ethan Allen ] as well as running her own design business. Janice has specialized in window coverings for the past 13 years as a Certified HD design specialist. Janice resides in Livermore with her husband and she is the mother of two boys.
